Nothing you do here is uploaded. The file is read into your browser's memory, processed by code running on your own machine, and written straight back to your downloads folder. You can confirm it yourself: open DevTools, switch to the Network tab, and run the tool — there is no request carrying your document, because there is no server endpoint to receive it.

Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?
Run OCR first to turn the scan into real text, then convert. Converting an image-only PDF directly produces a document with no extractable text.
Why does the file download as .doc instead of .docx?
The converter builds a Word-compatible HTML document, which Word, Google Docs, and LibreOffice all open correctly when it is saved with a .doc extension. If you specifically need modern .docx, open the result and use your editor's Save As.
