Privacy, Legal & Support
Privacy Policy & Security Charter
At PDF Vault, privacy is not a feature toggled in settings; it is the architectural core of our entire software system. We operate under a strict, client-side execution layout where your data never leaves your browser sandbox.
1. Local Sandbox Processing
All PDF manipulations, text extractions, coordinate mappings, cryptographic locks, image-to-PDF builds, and OCR readings are computed directly in your local browser memory space.
2. Data Collection & Cloud Transfer
We do not run remote document collection servers. No document bytes, form fields, vector coordinates, signatures, passwords, or scanned text streams are sent to our or any third-party APIs. Your files remain offline at all times.
3. Browser Storage Presets
We use LocalStorage and IndexedDB strictly to persist user preference overrides (such as your Premium status activation flag, local operation usage limits, and saved signature overlay presets). These items are encrypted where applicable and stored locally on your device profile.
You can reach PDF Vault support at support@getpdfvault.com, or by sending a message through the form on this page.
Because your documents never reach us, we cannot look at your file to diagnose a problem — so the more you can tell us about what you were doing, which browser you use, and what happened instead, the faster we can help. Never email us a confidential document; we do not want a copy, and that is rather the point of the product.
Before you write in
- Check the FAQ. Most questions about limits, privacy, and formats are answered in the FAQ.
- Try a hard refresh. Because the app is cached for offline use, an old version can occasionally linger.
- Note your browser. Tool behaviour differs slightly between Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
- Large files. If a big document fails, it is usually browser memory — try closing other tabs first.
